SUMMARY

This study aims to find out about the use of the Internet as a source of academic information for students, with study in Univeristas Lampung. This research is descriptive research method with the survey.
Collecting data is done in a way distribute questionnaires to students in all faculties at UNILA. Once the calculation is done, the sample obtained a number of 100 students are divided proportionally in all
faculty. In addition, secondary data obtained from the results of observation and literature study.

From the results of the research note that the main goal of the respondents use the Internet for the benefit of the academic is to take
the task of studying, in addition to lecture materials and research literature. Domain website the most c ikunjungi is for academic interest. RINGKASAN

Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa tujuan utama para responden menggunakan internet untuk kepentingan akademik adalah untuk mengerjakan
tugas kuliah, selain untuk mencari materi kuliah dan riset literatur. Domain website yang paling banyak c ikunjungi untuk kepentingan akademik adalah .comi.co, dan sebagian besar revonden pun menganggap bahwa website dengan domain .com/.co kredibel sebagai sumber informasi. Dengan adanya internet, sebagian besar responden menjadi lebih banyak menggunakan internet sebagai
sumber informasi akademik dibandingkan dengan perpustakaan.

Dalam hal evaluasi it formasi yang berasal dari internet, sebagian responden masih belum melakt kan poin-poin strategi verifikasi informasi yang sebaiknya dilakukan sebelum menggunakan informasi dari internet untuk
kepentingan akademik. I lal tersebut antara lain mengecek apakah informasinya terkini, mengecel, apakah informasinya komprehensif, mengecek
apakah informasinya berupa fakta atau opini, mencari sumber lain untuk mengecek informasi dari internet, mempertimbangkan tujuan penulis memposting
